Default Wintersday--2 questions

1. How much were Skulls/Candy Canes selling for during the event last Wintersday?
2. Are they expected to follow the same trend next Wintersday, or be different?

wrong.

skulls were being sold for as much as 250g each for trade for goodies.

candy canes were selling from 500 up to 1.5 k each.

THIS year you may have to give CC away as everybody is saving up the collectable items to trade for them and expecting to get last years prices.

everybody will already have their own supply except for a few that are new/want more and you will have 50 sellers for every buyer

Every collectable item? If Anet is smart, they wouldn't use the same collectable items as last year. I think they're going to come up with some sweet new ideas for this halloween and wintersday, at least I hope.. . It could be implemented like Dragon Festival where you have to participate in an event to get candy canes or the equivalent. You never know!

1) What wintersday skull? I don't remember any...
2) Candy canes were pretty cheap during and shortly after the event. They didn't become expensive until ToTPK became infested with badness, and farmers there needed to get rid of dp.

if by skull you mean Singed Gargoyle then they probably didnt have any value, as they were dropped by pansy gargoyles, everyone i know who wanted candy canes just farmed the skulls, you should do the same. I heard a rumour that the collectable items will be different to prevent this sort of thing, the mass preparations etc etc.

Yep, Singed Gargoyle skulls & charr Carvings were the big collector's items (because they were so easy to get) to gather for trading for goodies - including candy canes. I remember seeing people buying them for anywhere from 25 - 50g each.

As for Candy Canes, they started out selling for upwards of 1K, but as more and more people stocked up, the price dropped to about 300g each. After the event they slowly went up to 500 - 700g and stayed there for a while, now they're at 750g - 1k and have been there for several months.

I farmed skulls to some point, and bought quite a few as well. A few of us just parked inside Nolani and bought them for 100-150g per. During the event itself, I don't remember Canes themselves selling for more than 500g each. It took quite a few weeks before they started bringing the 1k price to my recollection.

So you think they'll be cheaper because more people will get them? Also, what about Spiked Eggnogs? I haven't seen them being sold today; were they plentiful during Wintersday? How much did they go for?

Last year people had a few days to farm/collect because everything was new. If the items are the same next Wintersday, then people will have had a year to stock up. The supply of eggnogg and candy canes will far outstrip the demand. I know i'm counting on being able to buy more spiked eggnogg with gargoyle skulls this year, so I can get my drunk on. =)
